1. Bowman 40 - Saro's Gyda


The Bowman 40 is a luxury cruising yacht developed to explore the oceans of the world in safety and comfort while giving complete confidence in her ability to handle any conditions she may meet. Built and maintained to Lloyds 100 A1 Saro's Gyda is also fully compliant with, and exceeds in many areas, the requirements of the MCA Practise for Small Commercial Vessels.

2. Bavaria 39 Cruiser - Hound Dog 1

New to charter in 2007. First commissioned in 2005, this yacht is in immaculate condition and comes equipped to a very high standard.



3. Sigma 36 - Saracen

The 36 is a performance cruising yacht equipped to a specification suitable for cruising or racing. Each yacht has a Lloyds Hull Certificate and is built to a high standard of quality and finish. The hull is moulded from hand-laid GRP and the deck incorporates balsa core stiffening and an integrally moulded non-slip surface.


4. Ruffian 23 - Spanker

Designed and built in Ireland to sail in the turbulent waters of the Irish Sea, the Ruffian 23 was an immediate success. This classic form has had many racing successes and cruising awards to her name.

With a hull form that produces good stability and simple handling under sail the Ruffian turned out to be a successful compromise between racing and family sailing. It has a masthead rig, 45% ballast ratio and a skeg hung rudder.




1. Bowman 40 - Saro's Gyda

Rig

The simple cutter rig with furling headsail make for ease of handling by a limited crew, even in rough conditions. The fully battened main has lazy jacks which make raising and lowering the sail a simple task. The Bowman style spray-hood incorporates a hide covered grab rail. Ample coach-roof hand rails, high safety lines and jack stays make moving about the yacht completely safe even in choppy conditions. No slouch, these yachts are affectionately known as "7 ½ knot Bowmans" and have a tremendous capacity for eating up the sea miles. Whether cruising or racing, a fine performance is the order of the day from Saro's Gyda.

Construction

White GRP hull and superstructure with teak decks and cockpit seating. Wheel steering and full skeg rudder. Long fin keel. All the GRP work is hand laid by craftsmen to provide a trouble free hull structure.

12 and 240 volt systems charged by alternator and Falcom battery charger. Shore power, inverter.

Tankage

One 364 litre (80 galls.) fuel tank and 545 litres of water in 2 s/s tanks. Third reserve tank manually pumped to galley sink.

Accommodation

A total of 8 berths comprising double in forward cabin, double in aft cabin and 4 singles with lee clothes in saloon.Two heads compartments each with w.c., shower and wash basin. Galley area with Taylor 041 gas cooker with 3 burners, grill and oven. 12v Isotherm fridge and 2 s/s sinks. Pressurised hot and cold water systems. Eberspacher heating, teak joinery work, chart table.Wet locker drains to bilges.

3. Sigma 36 - Saracen

Rig

The fractional rig achieves a superb sailing performance whether cruising or racing. The 36 has achieved many notable offshore racing successes and its suitability as a fast family cruising yacht is legendary. At the same time it is a stable, easily controlled yacht ideal for cruising, with extremely comfortable accommodation and a very high specification.

Rigging

off-white GRP hull, deck and superstructure, with a deep fin keel and spade rudder. Whitlock wheel steering fitted 1999 and pedestal replaced 2005.

Fresh Water

2 x 50gall. fresh water tanks, pressurised hot and cold in galley and heads, manual hand pump in the galley.
